Coaching
1-2-1 Coaching
Clients include runners and sprinters who compete on the track, and in Endurance events from 5k up to Marathons, on road or cross country. 'Age group' Triathletes and duathletes who compete both domestically and internationally, work to bespoke training programmes that include running, cycling and often strength and conditioning gym sessions too.
Other clients include team sportsmen and women who want to improve their running technique and speed for enhanced team performance.
Analysis of gait and running technique, private running sessions and personal training plans are all options offered as part of the service.
Group Coaching
Many groups benefit from Helen's group coaching skills, whether it be for running, fitness or both:
Hughenden Ladies Running Group
Bucks Speed Demons Athletics Squad
Local School Athletics and Cross Country
Welsh Dragons Lacrosse Squad
Clan Netball Squad
Wycombe Hockey club
Team coaching includes training that is tailored specifically to the demands of the sport including stamina and specific movements, combined with Strength and Conditioning. This all helps to minimise the risk of injury and enhance performance on the pitch.
Personal Training
Personal training is tailored to the individual to meet specific objectives, whether it be to minimise injury risk, recover from injury, enhance fitness, improve running or cycling technique or lose weight.
Whilst Helen offers support with all of this, she also specialises her personal training towards runners and cyclists, and so can incorporate her skills as a Running and Cycling coach into the personal training.
Appointments can be made either in the privacy of your home, in a local park or at a local gym.
Groups and Squads
Bucks Speed Demons is a local Athletics squad training at Little Marlow Athletics track and Hughenden Park, which caters for young people from the age of 7 through to adult. Helen coaches members of the squad regularly and has supported many teenage athletes to County and National level in track and cross country disciplines.

Hughenden Ladies Running Group was set up by Helen in 2012 to cater for women who prefer to run during the daytime. The group attracts women of all ages and caters for all levels of running experience, from raw beginners through to marathon runners and speedy road racers. Sessions are tailored to the individual to ensure that everybody gets a workout appropriate to their experience, skill and speed.
The group trains twice a week for around an hour at times to fit in with the school run - Mondays at 1.30 and Thursdays at 9.15.
The ladies are a friendly bunch and often meet up together socially too!
